Terms and Conditions

These terms apply to your use of FlyMHD at flymhd.com. By creating an account you accept the terms. Please read them carefully.
1. About FlyMHD
FlyMHD is a subscription-based marketplace for short-term rental of homes. Hosts pay a fixed monthly subscription and pay 0% commission to FlyMHD. On completed bookings only Stripe's payment fee (currently approx. 1.5% + 1.80 kr) is deducted, which goes to Stripe, cf. section 5. FlyMHD charges no commission per booking.
FlyMHD connects hosts and guests. The rental agreement is made directly between host and guest. FlyMHD is not a party to the rental agreement and never holds the guest's money, which is paid directly to the host's own account via Stripe.
2. Account
You must provide accurate information and keep it up to date. You are responsible for the activity on your account and for keeping your login details confidential. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
3. Host obligations
- You may only rent out a home you are legally entitled to rent out, and you must comply with applicable rules, including any rules from your municipality, homeowner or housing association, and landlord.
- You are responsible for reporting and paying tax on your rental income.
- Your listings must be accurate, and you must keep price and calendar up to date.
- To receive payments you must set up a Stripe account. Guests can only pay for a booking once your Stripe account is ready.
3a. Guest obligations
- You must provide accurate information when booking, including the actual number of guests, which must not exceed the number allowed for the home.
- You must respect the home's house rules and treat the home responsibly.
- You are responsible for damage caused by you or your fellow guests to the home or its contents during the stay. Compensation claims are a matter between you and the host.
- The rental agreement is made directly between you and the host. Disputes about the stay, the condition of the home, or damage are settled between you and the host; FlyMHD may assist with information but is not a party to the dispute.
3b. Check-in and check-out
Unless stated otherwise in the listing or agreed directly with the host: check-in from 1:00 PM on the day of arrival and check-out by 11:00 AM on the day of departure.
4. Subscription and payment
The subscription costs 9.95 € per month for founding members (the first 100 hosts, price locked for life) and 19.95 € per month thereafter. The first 180 days are free for everyone. A valid payment card is required, but you are not charged until the free period ends.
You can cancel your subscription at any time from your account. On cancellation your listings are hidden from guests, while any already confirmed bookings still stand. The subscription is managed via Stripe.
5. Bookings
When a guest books, the full amount is reserved on the guest's payment card via Stripe (an authorization — no money is charged). The host then has 24 hours to confirm or decline. If the host declines, or the booking is not confirmed within 24 hours, the booking is automatically cancelled, the hold is released, and the guest is not charged.
On confirmation the amount is charged, the dates are blocked in the host's calendar, and the amount is paid out to the host's Stripe account minus Stripe's payment fee (currently approx. 1.5% + 1.80 kr per booking). The payment fee goes to Stripe — FlyMHD takes no commission or share of the rent.
6. Cancellation and refunds
Refunds depend on the cancellation policy the host has chosen for the home, which is shown at the time of booking:
- Flexible: full refund if cancelled at least 24 hours before check-in, otherwise none.
- Moderate: full refund if cancelled at least 5 days before check-in, otherwise none.
- Strict: 50% refund if cancelled at least 7 days before check-in, otherwise none.
6a. Right of withdrawal
Booking accommodation for a specific date is exempt from the general 14-day right of withdrawal under section 18(2)(12) of the Danish Consumer Contracts Act. Instead, the cancellation policy shown in the listing at the time of booking applies. By completing a booking you accept these terms and the home's cancellation policy.
7. FlyMHD's liability
FlyMHD provides the platform but is not responsible for the condition or legality of the homes, nor for the relationship between host and guest. FlyMHD cannot be held liable for indirect losses. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be excluded under Danish law.
No insurance: FlyMHD provides no insurance, guarantee, or coverage for damage, theft, or personal injury in connection with a stay. Hosts are encouraged to check with their own insurer whether their policy covers short-term rental, and guests are encouraged to hold their own liability and travel insurance.
7a. Content and communication
Messages and content on the platform must be lawful and relevant to the rental. FlyMHD may remove content and listings that are misleading, offensive, or unlawful.
8. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or close an account for misuse, breach of these terms, or suspected illegal activity. You may close your own account at any time.
9. Governing law and venue
These terms are governed by Danish law, and disputes are settled by the Danish courts.
10. Changes
We may update these terms. We will announce material changes on the site or by email.
