What does it cost to rent out my home on FlyMHD?
A fixed monthly subscription — founding hosts (the first 100) pay €9.95/mo locked for life, thereafter €19.95/mo. There is 0% commission on your bookings; you only pay Stripe's standard payment fee (approx. 1.5% + 1.80 kr per completed booking). Creating a listing is free with no payment card required.
When do I start paying?
Only when your first booking arrives. You create your listing for free with no payment card, and it stays on the platform at no cost. When your first booking arrives, you activate the subscription to confirm it.
Does FlyMHD really take no commission?
Yes, 0%. When a guest books, the payment goes directly to your bank account via Stripe. You only pay Stripe's payment fee (approx. 1.5% + 1.80 kr) — that goes to Stripe, not to us. We earn our money exclusively from the subscription.
How do I get paid?
Through Stripe, which you connect once during onboarding. The guest’s payment is transferred directly to your bank account. FlyMHD never holds your money.
What happens when a guest books?
The amount is reserved on the guest's card and the booking is marked "pending". You have 24 hours to confirm or decline. If you confirm, the amount is charged and the dates are blocked in your calendar. If you decline — or don't respond within 24 hours — the hold is released automatically and the guest pays nothing.
Can I set my own house rules and cancellation policy?
Yes. You choose between flexible, moderate and strict cancellation policies and write your own house rules. The terms are shown clearly to the guest before booking.
What about tax?
You are responsible for reporting your rental income to the Danish tax authorities. Denmark has a tax-free allowance for renting out holiday and primary homes — check the current rates at skat.dk. FlyMHD does not provide tax advice.
Is payment safe for guests?
Yes. All payments are handled by Stripe, used by companies like Amazon and Google. FlyMHD never sees or stores your card details. The amount is only reserved on your card and charged when the host confirms — if that doesn't happen within 24 hours, the hold is released automatically.
What is a founding member?
The first 100 hosts on the platform. They get the €9.95/mo price locked for life — and don't pay until their first booking arrives.
Can I cancel my subscription?
Yes, at any time with no lock-in. Your listing is taken off the platform when the subscription ends.
